In brief: working on changing course at university, looking to get out of physics and make my way into a writing course instead. Drastic change I know, everyone tells me that, but I reckon it'll do me a hell of a lot more good in the long run. I'm a far better writer than I am a physicist and enjoy it much more too, yet there's still a great deal for me to learn. Here's hoping I make it onto that.
Life's been pretty good lately, spending lots of time with good friends and feeling much better for it. Got to see my family and baby niece over the April holiday, and cripes has she grown
it's really wonderful and enchanting seeing her running about on her own two feet, exploring the world in all its simplicity that we adults overlook or take wholly for granted. It's inspirational, and one of the best reasons I have for going back home is to see how she's doing and spend time with her. Not to say that I don't love seeing the rest of my family too
I've been semi-challenged by
to make a short stop-motion animation (i.e. I backed myself into a corner and now hafta work to get my way outta it xD). Anyone got any ideas what I should animate? Not that you'll probably ever see the results, but you never know, I might upload the end product to youtube and throw a link to it on here.
As for other artistic exploits, there aren't any really. I'm in a really fun Transformers roleplay with my best friend
, filling in the gaps from the most recent TV series Transformers: Animated... I've done a little bit of painting on some miniatures, namely Battletech ones (i.e. giant robots), and really very little else.
So, um... what have you guys been up to?
(p.s. I've been experimenting with drinking tea in an attempt to become more British. So far I sorta like English Breakfast Tea, testing is still in progress...)
